Q&A: MLR requests and refundable depositQ: Does making an MLR (Manual Loop Request) insure I will actually get DSL?A: You've heard the saying, "The squeaky wheel gets the grease". The purpose of this collective effort is to alert the phone company of the precise areas where DSL demand exists. Simply laying fiber out through the woods is NOT an effective solution. Neighborhood relays MUST be installed where the greatest numbers of people will actually be delivered high-speed service. The more people who participate with MLR's in your neighborhood, the more effectively this demand will be demonstrated. Q: Can I make an MLR directly
with the phone company?
Q: What is the purpose of the deposit, and how is it refundable?
If the MLR is successful, when DSL service is established in your neighborhood, you will be hooked up right away, with the deposit applied to your service. The deadline noted previously in FCC Docket No. 06-74, was December 31, 2007. Within 90 days of submitting your MLR, if DSL has not been made available to your residence or business, simply email support@pasty.com to request a refund or apply it toward any existing Pasty.NET services you may have. (wireless, nationwide-dial, personal or business hosting). Q: How fast will the DSL be, and does it tie up your phone
line?
Q: Can I receive referral credit for encouraging my neighbors
to make a Manual Loop Request through Pasty.NET?
